Welcome to the Savings.

Thank you for your interest in our Time of Use program. It’s all about shifting your energy use to take advantage of lower rates at other times – especially nights and weekends. The more you shift your energy use, the more you save!

For program details and other essential information, click on the Learn More buttons below.

Time of Use Rates

Unlike conventional electric rates, Time of Use rates offer different prices for energy at different times of the day and different days of the week, depending on the demand for electricity. Your rate is lower than the standard rate during Off Peak times, about the same during Mid Peak times, and more expensive during On Peak times. By shifting your use to Off Peak times and avoiding On Peak energy use, you can lower your bill! Click Learn More to see the schedule and detailed rates for the program.

How It Works

You have two program options which reward you for participating in Energy Savings Days in different ways:

Peak Rewards TOU:

Earn bill credits when you use less energy than normal, with no penalty if you don’t reduce your use. The more you reduce your use, the more you earn!

Critical Peak TOU:

Enjoy reduced rates at all other times during summer, with higher rates only from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Energy Savings Days. This is a great option for those who are committed to keeping their use low on Energy Savings Days.

Energy Savings Days:

  • Typically occur on the hottest days of the year, when demand for energy is at its peak.
  • Occur Monday through Friday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Up to 14 may be scheduled each year between June 1 and September 30.
  • You will be notified the day before an Energy Savings Day.
